In march 2006, GMS startet its presence at the German market with the branch in the German Drolshagen, Sauerland. To be able to offer the same quick delivery and excellent service, and to make the language barrier disappear, this branch functioned as a copy of the head quarter in Alkmaar. The German branch provides in delivery from stock and is a sales point at the same time.

After approximately two years, the Drolshagen establishment appeared to be in need of a new, more modern building. That is why the decision was made to build a brand new warehouse with offices in Wenden-Gerlingen, just a few miles from Drolshagen. The construction progressed steady, and the delivery took place in April 2008.
