GMS celebrated her 30th anniversary last year! At March 8, 1978, the company was officially founded by Cees Groot. Mr. Groot was one of the first entrepreneurs (early seventies) which started an enterprise at the Dutch automotive Autogas market.
With his sense for customer satisfaction and niche markets, he has made GMS to what the company is these days: an internationally acknowledged and respected distributor / manufacturer of Autogas components.
Mr. Groot is still with GMS but not on a day to day basis anymore. He is mainly involved as a consultant, sharing his knowledge and experience with our staff and our respected relations.
Gilbert Groot, son of the founder, is our managing director.
Mr. Groot has been involved with GMS all his life. He started working at GMS in January 1st. 1994 on a full time basis. As of January 1st. 1997 Gilbert Groot owns and successfully runs the company, together with a team of dedicated employees.
