Demonstrating the Future of LP Gas

The French LP Gas Association has ambitious goals to reach in its communications strategy for 2011. These focus on many different initiatives both globally and locally. From activities and programs this year, we would like to demonstrate to all our stakeholders and in particular car manufacturers that LP Gas is an  alternative fuel to gasoline and diesel alongside biofuels, NGV and hybrid electric vehicles, for example. It has helped to make the public, media, government and automotive professional aware of the qualities of LP Gas through many different communications projects from websites to face to face meetings, to publications and also through openness and engagement.

One of our focuses this year is to demonstrate the future of LP Gas. As an association representing the industry active in France and thus also feeding into the global market through our colleagues at the WLPGA, we have been active at the Monte Carlo Rally of Alternative Fuels since 2008. This show allows communication on innovations, improves brand awareness and corporate image among professionals and opinion leaders in the automotive sector. It takes place from March 31 to April 3. The Automobile club of Monaco in 2011, has decided to make a classification by energy at the show. LP Gas cars are to represent one of these categories! This means that the LP Gas industry can be a winner at the Rally of Monte Carlo Alternative Energy in 2011 in the LP Gas category. The issue goes beyond the French borders since the Rally enjoys international reputation.

Our participation in the last three edition of the rally have helped to include LP Gas as an alternative fuel to gasoline, diesel. This has also further enhanced communications initiatives with the media, public, and other stakeholders.

Lets demonstrate the future of LP Gas – enlist a vehicle with or without crew in one or more of these categories (our deadline is Feb 25th):
- innovative cars in terms of equipment or models
- sport cars like the MiTO of CFBP
- small city vehicles
