Setting the Standard - TUV

JLM are setting the standard in the LPG industry yet again.

GMS, as leaders in the LPG market, have many years of experience & knowhow in providing leading edge products, like, leading the way in 2010 by being the first to have a fully finished Valve Saver additive formulation independently tested & proven to work, and have proven this yet again by leading the way and achieving the world’s first TUV standard for Valve Seat Recession.

The Standard was written, developed & tested in conjunction with TUV Rheinland Group, The University of Applied Sciences in Saarland and GMS Lubricants B.V., & was put through its procedures & testing in March this year.

GMS Lubricants has put forward their new JLM Valve Saver Fluid, along with the JLM Valve Saver Kit to provide the correct fluid dosing, as the first product to be tested, and has undergone extensive testing, not only to ensure the test methods, engine parameters, data and test cycles are correct and reproducible, but also to show to the rest of the world that the JLM Valve Saver Fluid truly is the world leading product.

With many companies selling various formulations of additives designed to reduce the impact of valve seat recession on LPG powered vehicles, it is time an independent organisation developed this standard to provide clarity to workshops & consumers alike on the actual effectiveness of the claims made by these additives.

Many of the Valve Saver Fluid products make claims based on testing, but none of these have had any proper testing standard to work to, and or, have tested only the working ingredients (not the finished formulation) or, have relied upon test data written about the active ingredients effectiveness in petrol engines, but not tested in gas powered engines.
